Two Sum
Given an array of integers, return indices of the two numbers such that they add up to a specific target.
You may assume that each input would have exactly one solution.
Example:
Given nums = [2, 7, 11, 15], target = 9,
Because nums[0] + nums[1] = 2 + 7 = 9,
return [0, 1].
Solution
public class Solution {
public int[] twoSum(int[] nums, int target) {
int [] result = {0, 0};
HashMap<Integer, Integer> map = new HashMap<>();
for(int i=0;i<nums.length; i ++) {
map.put(target - nums[i], i);
}
for(int i=0;i<nums.length; i ++) {
if(map.containsKey(nums[i])) {
if( i == map.get(nums[i]))
continue;
result[1] = map.get(nums[i]);
result[0] = i;
break;
}
}
return result;
}
}
